On which day and date, an emergency Meeting was held within the Masonic Hall 14 Maddiston Road Brighton’s at 1930hrs.
Present were the Right Worshipful Master Bro Ian Simpson, office bearers and Brethren as per the attendance register 82 brethren signed the tyle 29 brethren from lodge Polmont 27 visitors and 26 from the deputation apologies were received from 17 brethren a copy of which is recorded and held on file.
The lodge was opened in the 1st degree in due and ancient form. The RWM welcomed all into the lodge and to the brethren of lodge Polmont he offered his thanks for their continued support a warm welcome was extended to the visiting brethren from the sister lodges both within and out with the Province of Stirlingshire, the RWM then called on the brethren of lodge Polmont to afford the visitors a very warm welcome the RWM then extended an invitation to all qualified brethren to join him to assist in the duties of the evening.

As this was an emergency degree there were no minutes, accounts, correspondence or Almoners report.
1st Degree
The RWM opened the lodge in the first degree and instructed the bro DOC to introduce the deputation from the Provincial Grand Royal Arch Chapter of Stirling and Clackmannan headed on this occasion by Bro William J Fulton Grand superintendent of the Provincial Grand Royal arch Chapter of Stirling and Clackmannan but not before seeing that the rods were manned the deputation entered the lodge with the sound of the pipes and drum and after a few introductions Bro William J Fulton was invited up to the East along with various depute, Reigning and past masters and after a few words of encouragement and best wishes our RWM handed the gavel over to Bro William J Fulton and with that exchange Bro Fulton requested from our RWM that he may say a few words at the conclusion of the degree which was readily granted and at this point the Bro William J Fulton PM requested that the office bearers of lodge Polmont vacate office in favour of the office bearers from the Provincial Grand Royal arch Chapter of Stirling and Clackmannan, Bro Fulton PM then introduced the degree team for the evening and with the introductions done the deacons were then instructed to introduce Mr Anthony Inegenosun in order to confer the first or entered apprentice degree which was carried out with most solemn, precise and dignified manner as practiced by the Provincial Grand Royal arch Chapter of Stirling and Clackmannan and at the conclusion of the degree Bro William J Fulton PM with our RWM Bro I Simpson and made their way to the West to be the first to congratulate Bro Inegbenosun on becoming lodge Polmont’s newest entered apprentice and to introduce him to the brethren, addressing the brethren and distinguished East Bro William J Fulton PM charged the brethren ever to meet, greet and treat Bro Inegbenosun as such but in the meantime, give him a very warm welcome among us and on returning to the East the Bro William J Fulton PM then invited Bro Inegbenosun to take a seat in the body of the lodge. Bro William J Fulton PM then thanked the degree team for a job well done, the brethren that accompanied him in the deputation which consisted of ten lodges also stating that Bro Ramsay Mcgee who could not attend the degree this evening due to other commitments passed on his very best wishes to the degree team, the RWM, Past master’s, Worshipful Wardens, Office bearers and brethren of lodge Polmont for a successful evening Bro William J Fulton PM thanked the Bro Galloway for the musical accompaniment to Bro Ross McCulloch and Bro Peter Anderson for the pipes and drums when entering the lodge finishing off by thanking our RWM, Past masters, WW’s, office bearers and brethren of lodge Polmont for the opportunity to carry out a degree in our mother lodge he then handed the gavel back to our RWM who said that all the hard work the degree team had put in had certainly paid off and was well executed. The collection for the evening was announced which realised the sum of £272.00 to which the RWM thanked the brethren the RWM invited Bro William J Fulton Grand superintendent, PM and the deputation from the Provincial Grand Royal arch Chapter of Stirling and Clackmannan to retire and receive some lodge hospitality. Bro Fulton Grand superintendent & PM asked for permission from our RWM for Bro Inegbenosun to join the retiring deputation which was readily granted and with the rods once again manned they retired to the sound of the pipes and drum.
The RWM then thanked the brethren in the columns for their quiet attention during the ceremonial, to the organist Bro John Galloway he thanked for his musical accompaniment, to Bro P Anderson for playing the drum and Bro Ross McCulloch for playing the pipes he thanked them for their exceptional talent, to the members of Lodge Polmont he once again thanked them for their continued support and to the visitors he thanked them for their attendance and asked that they take warm and fraternal greetings from Lodge Polmont back to their mother lodges at their earliest convenience and asked the brethren of lodge Polmont give the visitors a hearty vote of thanks.

RWM Bro James MacAuley replied on behalf of the visiting brethren for the warmth and cordiality on entering the lodge something that has always come to be expected at lodge Polmont congratulating Bro William J Fulton Grand superintendent of the Provincial Grand Royal Arch Chapter of Stirling and Clackmannan and his degree team for an exceptional entered apprentice degree and congratulating Bro Anthony Inegbenosun on becoming lodge Polmont’s newest entered apprentice finishing off by bringing warm and fraternal greetings from all the visiting sister lodges but more in particular his own mother lodge, lodge Carron No 139.
Intimations
The RWM gave the following intimations.
Monday the 18th of May there is a general committee meeting within lodge Polmont commencing at 6.45pm followed by bar training for those willing to take the short course.
The next regular meeting is on Wednesday the 9th of September 2026 which will be a second degree the RWM then invited those who could stay behind to do so for some lodge hospitality and to the brethren that could not that they have a safe journey home there being no further business the RWM closed the lodge in due and ancient form.
